Deep Carpet Cleaning
Hot-water extraction that pulls out what’s been sitting deep inside. Traffic lanes, ground-in dirt, allergens. No soaking. No rushed passes. Carpets look lighter once they dry – usually 3 to 8 hours.
Chicago carpets have a hard life. Road salt all winter. Foot traffic all summer. Pets, kids, spills. Raccoon Cleaning does carpet cleaning across the whole city – downtown, the North Side, and the suburbs. High-rise towers included, and that part matters. A truck-mount can’t send a hose up to the 35th floor. Our portable extractors ride the elevator. 500 PSI of pressure, 182 inches of water lift. The same deep clean on any floor. You get the estimate first. Then you decide. Call (872) 255-0295.

We treat the source, down in the padding where the smell actually lives. No perfume cover-ups. More on pet accidents below – timing really matters with urine.
Wine, coffee, ink, paint, slime, blood, mystery spots. Not every stain comes out completely. When we see a limit, we tell you right away, before the work starts.
Entry paths, stairs, the lane worn into the living room. This is where extraction shows off. Flattened fibers stand up again. The path lightens. You see the difference along the baseboards.
Area rugs and Oriental rugs get checked first – material, weave, condition. Then a method the rug can handle. Gentle where it needs to be.
Offices, retail, restaurants – downtown high-rises included. Scheduled before opening or after closing. Starts at a $149 minimum.
Cleaning carpet well needs two things. Pressure to push hot solution deep into the pile. Suction to pull it back out with the dirt. Weak portable machines skimp on both – that’s why they leave carpets soggy and half-clean. Ours don’t. 500 PSI of pressure. 182 inches of water lift from dual vacuums. The performance you’d expect from a van parked outside, except it’s in the room with you, forty floors up. Carpets come up damp, not soaked, and dry in 3 to 8 hours.
Chicago carpets before and after extraction – traffic lanes, pet spots, salt stains. Real local jobs, no touch-ups.

This part is honest advice from our crews. Some stains get much worse when people try home fixes before calling us. Sometimes they become permanent. A dog or cat accident doesn't look scary at first. But urine that sits in the carpet starts changing the color of the fibers. The longer it sits, the deeper it soaks – carpet, backing, padding. At some point the discoloration becomes permanent, and if urine soaked deep and old, no cleaning brings that spot back. Call us early. Fresh urine spots we can usually treat fully. Old ones – we'll be honest about what's possible.
Accidents happen – a cut finger, a scraped knee, a nosebleed. Whatever you do, don't scrub blood with hot water. Heat sets blood into the fibers, and after that the stain is many times harder to remove. People try, the stain locks in, and then our job gets much harder too. Leave it. Call us. Cold-treated fresh blood usually comes out well.
Parents know slime. It ends up in the carpet, always. People attack it with whatever chemical is under the sink – sometimes even professional products, but in the wrong amounts. Too strong or too much, and you can burn the carpet. The chemical damage is often worse than the slime was. Same story with paint drips. Don't experiment on the carpet, it only has one life.
This one hurts to see. Someone cleans a spot with a chlorine product, and days later there are reddish or orange patches. That's not a stain – the bleach ate the dye out of the fibers. It cannot be cleaned back. That patch is permanent damage, and the only fix is patching or replacing the carpet. If you're not sure what a product does, don't put it on the carpet. The short version: blot what you can with plain cold water, nothing else, and call (872) 255-0295. The sooner we see the spot, the better your odds.
